What happens?

In the far future, Flynn Webster lives in the Lates—a desolate wasteland caused by a global heat disaster that nearly wiped out humanity centuries ago. She survives with her ailing adoptive aunt in a hidden swampland, one of the few safe places left. To find medicine and valuable resources, Flynn risks her life traveling through unstable time portals known as Rips, journeying back to the dangerous aftermath of the heat event.

Everything changes when Atlas, a scientist from the past, unexpectedly arrives in Flynn's swampland.

Together, they travel back through time, exploring the era when the disaster first unfolded and even earlier, discovering how humanity’s downfall began. As they uncover the truth behind the catastrophe and the mysterious origins of the Rips, Flynn and Atlas face a difficult task - to make things right and undo the damage to their timeline.
